This is Ian’s first year on The Messenger. He is a sophomore, and in his free time he enjoys listening to music, playing basketball, and being on the Northview Mock Trial team.

Scarlet Baumann
(She/Her)
Scarlet is in 10th grade and this is her first year on The Messenger! She has been swimming for 10 years and is a member of the Northview High School swim team. She lives with her parents, two brothers, and dog. She likes to craft, sing, dance, and listen to music as well as take vacations with her family.

Ridhi is a sophomore who is new to journalism. She enjoys reading and writing, and has always found journalism to be very intriguing! She is excited to learn more about how to write articles and other aspects of journalism.

Claire Wang

Claire is a junior and this is her first year on The Messenger! She’s excited to share her loud opinions and learn as many new skills as she can this year. In her free time, Claire loves to doomscroll (and regular-scroll) on social media, bake, read books, and play videogames. Otherwise, you can find her doing something similarly unproductive.

Manha is a junior who enjoys writing very much. She loves long car rides, listening to music, and traveling. She looks forward to being on The Messenger!

Niki Karimifard
(She/Her)
Niki is very engaged in her school’s community and cares about what her peers have to say. She loves to write, talk about important problems, and is always looking for ways to improve with critical feedback. Niki also plays softball for Northview and goes to most of the football games to show her support. Niki is also told to have a “resting smiling face.”

Milo Park

Milo is a sophomore and a new staffer this year on The Messenger! He loves to write and can’t wait to work with everyone. When he isn’t writing, you can catch him at a speech and debate meeting, reading a good book, listening to music, or occasionally playing basketball or tennis with his dad.

Brooke Gavin
(She/Her)
Brooke is a sophomore this school year and can’t wait to be a part of The Messenger. She has always been interested in journalism and loves the pathway Northview offers to let her explore that interest! Brooke also runs on the cross country team, participates in musical theater, and is passionate about clubs such as Will to Live and FCA.

Arshita Sunnam

Arshita is a sophomore at Northview High School. She loves to spend time with her family, friends, and dog. She also enjoys baking and sleeping in. She is a hard worker and always does her best to produce quality work. This is her first year as a part of The Messenger staff, and she hopes to write some great pieces!

This is Isha’s first year on The Messenger as a junior. She loves to work with her hands creating art in and out of school. While doing almost anything Isha will be listening to various kinds of music. SZA, Dominic Fike, and Laufey are her favorites. She is excited to get more involved with the school and to experience new things!

Raina is a junior and it is her first year on The Messenger. She loves to go shopping, hanging out with friends and family, and loves traveling. You can find her helping in school events for Student Council. Raina is very excited to be a part of The Messenger and make great memories.

Jordan Ingram
(She/Her)
Jordan is super excited for her first year in The Messenger as a senior! She loves learning about new perspectives and enjoys surrounding herself with diverse opinions. Jordan is well acquainted with writing, with spending a lot of her time after school writing and revising opening statements for Northview's mock trial team. She's also a lover of music, and always has headphones on to help her focus on her work.
