The School Governance Council met on Sept. 13, 2022

  • The School Governance Council met on September 13th, 2022. Mr. Neuhaus (Principal), shared that Northview is committed to safety for all students and staff. The new CSA (Campus Security Associate), started on September 14th to provide additional security throughout the day. The SGC will be overseeing Flex Funds, of which a percentage will be exclusively used for saftey on campus. The addition of a door buzzer system and an additional safety associate were recommended.

  • Mr. Neuhaus also recognized the positive start to the school year, highlighting the 9/11 tribute organized by Northview Student Council and staff. The new policies regarding cell phone use and dress code were also addressed. It was emphasized that these are mandated by the county and are not unique to Northview.

  • The SGC also discussed implementing our Semester Action Plan which focuses on Relationships and Routines, Tier 1 Instruction, and Intervention. The council will receive periodic updates from assistant principal, Dr. Christi Bounds.
