  2. On a piece of paper, draw a Gryffindor badge with the markers and cut out the badge with scissors.

  3. Superglue or tape the badge to the left chest of the black bathrobe or graduation gown.

  4. Put on the white button-down shirt, tie, bathrobe or graduation gown, circular glasses, and black shoes.

‘70s Hippie costume

Materials:

  • Loose blouse

  • Brown leather jacket

  • Flare pants

  • Brown leather boots

  • Colorful glasses

  • Real or fake flowers

  • Superglue

  • Scissors

  • Ruler

  • Marker

Instructions:

  1. The flare pants can be of any color or material, but you may want to use a pair that you do not plan on wearing again. Lay the pants on a flat, hard surface, and superglue flowers onto the front of the pants until they are completely covered. After the glue on the front has dried, flip the pants over and super glue flowers onto the back until it is completely covered as well.

  2. Use a leather jacket that you do not plan on wearing again. If the jacket has sleeves, cut them off to create a vest.

  3. Turn the bottom of the vest into a fringe by cutting vertically into the bottom with your scissors. Maintain a constant distance of about one centimeter between each vertical cut, so the fringe looks professionally made. If you have difficulty with this, you should use a marker and ruler to draw guide lines before you start cutting.

  4. Put on the blouse, floral pants, leather vest, leather boots, and glasses. Make sure the pants are dry before you wear them. Groovy, baby!

Chef

Materials:

  • White apron

  • White shirt

  • White pants

  • Rolling pin or spatula

  • White printer paper

  • White tissue paper

  • Scissors

  • Glue or tape

  • Measuring tape

  • Ruler

Instructions:

  1. Fold a sheet of white printer paper in half, length-wise, or hot-dog style. Cut the paper into two strips along the line you just created. Glue or tape the ends of the two strips together to create the base of the hat.

  2. For the top of the hat, use a piece of tissue paper that is at least as long as the base of the hat. Glue or tape the bottom of the tissue paper to the inside of the base. If the tissue paper is too long, make creases as you glue, so the tissue paper fits within the base.

  3. Once you have attached the entire bottom of the tissue paper to the base, glue or tape the two edges of the tissue paper together. To close the circular opening at the top of the hat, bunch the tissue paper at the top and secure it with tape or glue. Make sure the bunch is on the inside if you want the hat to look more seamless.

  4. If you would prefer an alternate method of making a chef’s hat, you may also reference tutorials on how to make one online.

  5. Put on the chef hat you made, as well as the white apron, shirt, and pants.

  6. Find a spatula or rolling pin to use as your prop. Bonn appetit!!
