Pro-life or pro-choice? Gun control or no gun control? Global warming? You could ask these questions to multiple people and you will never get the same answer from each person. We all see the world from various perspectives. Our answers are based on how we were raised, what we experience, and how we respond.  Certain topics don’t just affect us but instead everyone else around us, some worse than others. There are many situations that we face today and all are equally important depending on who you are.  Living in different environments, each with a variety of characteristics of their own, influences people's different perceptions of situations. Someone will always believe something different than the next; you cannot just think for yourself, but for others living in the world with us as well.

When you are born into this world, we do not choose where we get to begin our lives. Growing up, our parents teach us many things so that when we are old enough, we can make our way through the world. Depending on what your parents believe and how they were taught will influence their beliefs on what they teach you. Kids look up to their parents and without a second thought, believe what they say. Every parent has been through their share of lessons, but in the end, it is not their choice.  When that child is 18, they can begin to make their own decisions, vote for what they want, believe in either side. Our parents can teach us many things, but not all things can be taught, some must be learned by experience.

Through several trials, we start to understand how the world works and what it needs. Beginning to make changes to make our mark on the world. We take part in what matters to ourselves and hopefully others as well. For everyone, these reasons could be endless, but this is where politics comes into play. We look at both sides of the political party and choose the best candidate that is the best fit for the job with similar beliefs as us. Most times, there will not be a president you can agree on every topic with. Some topics will be less important to another candidate and they choose to not focus on it. The other candidate might find a certain topic more important, but another topic not as important.

Either Democratic or Republican, Liberal or Conservative, Black or White, there is no one topic everyone can agree on. That is simply what our world has become and what it will continue to be. Someone will always believe in either side based on what they have gone through. We all go through our own individual problems that others will never understand. We choose to make a change and pick a side that we know is doing what is true and what is right to us and try to make the world the best version it can be.
