My favorite study spots, and why

Ideal cafes to study at based on the environment and the menu

As soon as I got my license, the spots I could go to study were limitless; I didn't have to worry about my mom dropping me off and picking me up or having to depend on someone else to go from one place to another. Getting out of the house provides a feeling of productivity, makes studying fun, and allows me to even go with a friend. One of my favorite feelings in the entire world has to be sipping a latte as I turn in an assignment.

Different people have their preferences when it comes to cafe studying, with the most popular study spots around Johns Creek being Dunkin', Ding Tea, Divine Coffee, and Hansel and Gretel Bakery Cafe. Cafes such as Twoha's Cafe, located in Duluth, have gained popularity because they went viral on TikTok. As someone who loves to study at cafes, these are my top three study spots, along with some honorable mentions.

  1. Antique Caffe

The drinks at Antique Caffe are the reason why I love this spot so much. Their coffee never misses, and it's the same with their matcha, too. The Caprese avocado toast tastes amazing as I'm getting my work done. When I first walked in, I didn't love the environment, however, it has grown on me as I go more often.

2. Tim Hortons

Tim Hortons is a great study spot because whenever I have gone there, it's never too busy. On top of that, their coffee is simply amazing; I've recently been enjoying their iced creme bru-latte. The workers are super nice, and the environment is just a great vibe. However, one reservation I have is that Tim Hortons doesn't have a lot of options for savory food, with the only savory thing I can get being the spinach feta pastry.

3. Dunkin'

Although I don't like the environment of Dunkin' as much as Antique Caffe and Tim Hortons, it is surprisingly good for studying. Their drinks are almost always good. I love any of their lattes and their breakfast sandwiches. I've only studied here once or twice, but I plan to go more because I really enjoyed it and was able to get a lot of work done.

Honorable Mentions:

  1. Ding Tea

If there is one place all Northview students go to, this is it. Ding Tea's boba is always great, and while I don't like studying there as much, a lot of other students do. Going there with a friend is always fun.

2. Hansel and Gretel Bakery Cafe

I have never studied here and have only eaten Hansel and Gretel's food a few times, but I know many who call this their favorite study spot. However, I do like a few of their drinks and pastries. Hansel and Gretel is within walking distance from Ding Tea and is next to Tiger Sugar as well, and these two places are where many Northview students can be seen studying after school.

Overall, I'm always looking for new cafes to try, and I can't wait to try more! I hope this may have given you a new cafe to try. While studying isn't always fun, it can always be better when you're studying at a cafe.
