FCBOE Board Meeting - August

The Fulton County Board of Education met for their monthly board meeting at 6 p.m. on August 18, 2022.
  • Chief Financial Officer Marvin Dereef goes over Career, Technical, and Agricultural education (CTAE) in Fulton County.

  • District 1 Board Member Katha Stuart reminds audience that the CTAE program funds come from the Georgia lottery.

  • The board highlights positives in their communities. Deputy Chief Academic Officer Gyimah Whitaker congratulates Northview student Revin Jun on his first-place finish for the CTAE fair.

  • Whitaker gives a presentation on the possible addition of a K-8 STEAM academy to Fulton County Schools.

  • Noel Maloof gives a presentation on the facilities masterplan for Fulton County Schools after redistricting.
