Course Waivers and Dual Enrollment

Northview’s Counseling Department releases new information regarding course waivers and dual enrollment. In an email sent to parents, they said,

“Hello Northview Community,
We hope you have a chance to sit back and enjoy your spring break next week. We have received lots of questions about waivering into advanced classes for the 2020-2021 school year, and we wanted to be sure to inform you as soon as we had an update regarding this year’s waiver process.

Students will still be able to waiver into Honors or AP classes. We will continue with our previous waiver submission timeline—
April 13-17, 2020. Students can waiver into a maximum of two (2) Honors and/or AP classes. Students’ waivers will be evaluated based on their first semester grade and the Fulton County minimum prerequisite requirements for the class. Please submit waiver requests by completing our online form (the link is below) during the waiver period—April 13-17. All waivers are due by Friday, April 17 at 4:00 pm.

*Please note – It is best to reach out to your individual counselor if you have questions about this email. Replies to this email go into a counseling department group gmail account that is not monitored.”

In relation to dual enrollment, fours counselors, Letitia Graham, Andy Alhadeff, Cindy Lee, and Erica Waters, hosted a webinar for information regarding the online enrollment process.
