SGC Meeting - August

The School Governance Council met on August 24th.

  • Mr. Downey informed the Council that at the end of the ten-day-count period, Northview’s enrollment stands at 1753 students. Since this number is very close to the projection of 1755 students, there will be no staffing changes for this school year.

    • Mr. Downey also updated the Council on COVID numbers at the time of the meeting.

  • The district will continue to monitor the numbers and communicate information with parents as needed.

  • The SGC has oversight on the Charter Funds allocated to the school by the district.

  • At the next School Governance Council meeting, the Council will discuss ideas on the best way to invest this money in the school in order to support teaching and learning in keeping with our 5-year Strategic Plan.

The next meeting will be Sept. 14, 2021.
